Questionable patriotism of the eagles

One thing that keeps us going as Nigerians is the ability to accept fate no matter how bad it is for us. Though, we did not qualify for the nation’s cup, I still believe we can qualify and win the European Champions League.
After the last qualifying match which we lost, blames have been traded. The man who is to blame, our able Prophet has clarified issues. He said he only predicted we won’t qualify. I hope the football governing body in Nigeria will save us so much money of hiring coaches and just stick to the prophet’s vision. At least we’ll know which matches to play or not to play since he knows the ones we’ll win. Please NFF or NFA, save us some money and employ the prophet full time.

The friendly match against Ghana according to the NFF was supposed to be a consolation. I wonder if they realized majority of Nigerians are not interested in the match. But what really interested was the timing of Osaze Odemwingies’ departure. I received it with raised eye brows. I was not surprised when Roy Hodgson the boss of West Bromwich Albion denied the reports that the striker was undergoing any surgery.

The Nigerian coach Samson Siasia claimed the striker was leaving the London camp to undergo a surgery which has now been debunked by the strikers club. This calls to question the patriotism of some of Nigerian players. Obviously, some of them feel they are doing the nation a favour by playing. I pray the NFF looks into this and necessary disciplinary action is taken against the coach and player for deceiving Nigerians.
