The minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani
Allison-Madueke has said categorically that kerosene will not be affected in
the federal government’s proposed removal of subsidy in the oil sector. Though
she said the subsidy on kerosene was totally inefficient. How come kerosene
subsidy which is inefficient is left while the subsidy on petrol is been
removed? She also said part of the reason the government will keep subsidizing
kerosene was that there is no alternative fuel to give to the people. I come to
think if there is an alternative to the petrol being subsidized.
We really thank her for shedding some lights on the deceits
the government is putting forth to the people. It’s either the government is
taking us on a ride or we are just being mocked. I also remember the President,
GEJ saying the money which ought to be used to subsidize petroleum product will
be used to provide mosquito nets. I am sure the President wasn’t serious about
that because I remember we got those nets few weeks ago. And come to think of
it, is mosquito net our major problem?
the govt have to do something and not only loot or money
