Rihanna recently revealed she is sick of
having to behave like a role model to kids. She said: “People — especially
white people want me to be a role model just because of the life I live.
Do we demand so much from these people to
the extent they can’t feel free and be themselves. This is a girl who wants to
‘bare it all’ but for the dads and moms whose little one has chosen her as a
model. It is now scary to put the TV on when your children are around. All what
we see are adult contents. Immoralities are now seen as a thing of vogue.
Marriage of 72days isn’t a big deal anymore. Hopping from one husband to
another is a common trend. Lesbianism is so in vogue that we could say the holy
books are wrong. These are what our kids are exposed to on TV and in the society
at large.
Parenting can be as wide as biology and can
be more complicated than we thought.
